As we all know kids simply don't like to play with same toys daily or even wear same color dress daily in fact they don't like to repeat the same color dress that they wore in morning the same day in evening too.
So, how can they agree to eat same round paratha or roti daily that too 3 times a day. I am very sure almost every mum faces this situation in her home with their kids. So here I am sharing the recipe as a proposed solution but not for long to this common issue.
For Dough:
For Filling:
In this, we can simply use anything which kids or the person who is meant to eat likes. We can even use the spring rolls filling or even the very famous Indian snack i.e. Bhujiya (any version).
Ingredients:
For Dough:
- 2 cup Maida or wheat flour
- 1/2 Tsp Salt or as per your taste
For Filling:
In this, we can simply use anything which kids or the person who is meant to eat likes. We can even use the spring rolls filling or even the very famous Indian snack i.e. Bhujiya (any version).
- 1 cup Fine chopped cabbage
- 1/2 cup shredded Paneer (cottage cheese)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped Onion
- 1/2 cup fresh Sprouts
- 1/2 cup Fine chopped Carrot
- 1 Fine chopped Green chilli
- 1/2 cup Fine chopped Capsicum
- 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
- 1 Tbsp Soya Sauce
- Salt as per your taste
Method:
- In a large bowl mix maida or wheat flour, salt and water to make a smooth dough. Kneed well for 2/3 minutes.
- Its time to divide the dough into equal parts and give them a shape similar to small balls with the help of your palm. If needed you can use a drop of ghee to smoothen them.
- Roll them out as you do for normal roti's.
- Now take a sharp knife and make marks as shown below in the picture.
- Now its time to fill in the rolled out roti's.
- Please 1 spoon mixture lengthwise exactly in the centre of the rolled out roti.
- Now alternately start wrapping it the same way we do while making a hair braid but here do it with a saft hand or the filling might spill out.
- Shape all the rotis in the same way, keep them aside.
- By now the non stick tawa must have become quiet hot to place these fish shaped rotis on it. Drop some ghee when it gets little brown spots on one side and do the same for both sides.
- Cook till they are crisp and get golden brown color.
- To give these parathas more of fish look, take 1 black pepper and place it just on the top of the paratha as shown above in the picture.
- Serve it hot with tomato sauce or green chutney as liked.
